How to boil an egg

This my step by step guide to the perfect 4/6/8/10 minute boiled egg.

Boiled egg

4 Eggs (Clarence court, cold from fridge)
3L water
50ml White wine vinegar
15g Salt

  1. Bring your water to the boil with some vinegar and salt. Once boiling add the eggs, don’t overcrowd the pan.

  2. Cook for 4/6/8/10 minutes depending on what you are using the egg for. Plunge into ice water to stop the cooking process.

  3. If it’s a 4-minute egg and you are eating straight away, skip the ice water stage.
